This course introduces students to the principles, tools, and techniques of native Android mobile application development using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. Topics include the Android development environment, Kotlin programming fundamentals, declarative UI design with Jetpack Compose, state management and recomposition, Navigation Compose, local data persistence using DataStore and Room, consumption of RESTful web services, no-cost Firebase integration, background processing, notifications, runtime permissions, device sensors and hardware interaction, testing, debugging, performance optimization, app signing, and release preparation.
